👋 Hello enthusiast,
I hope the week has been good for you so far, and that you are doing good.
Here is the selection of the week.
Behind the scenes vs the spotlight
I was impressed by the behind scenes of the couple from "I Love Lucy". In "Being the Ricardos", Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem create that intentional face-to-face and portray a couple in crisis within the political turmoil of the TV show. It was such a delight to watch.
I was Brazilian in another life, why so much Brazilian pop?
I must have shared already a question with you last year. It is an increased reveal the more I allow the algorithm of Spotify to help me time travel within my playlist.
Tiago Iorc was my Artist of 2021; I think he will keep the seat of Artist of 2022.
The Man vs the artist
I have read some Dosteoievsky books, like "La logeuse" or the "The landlord" which was breathtaking masterpiece. I want to dive into this author's writing one day as an entire project.
Nevertheless, I recently watched a documentary on Arte, which portrays "the man" behind the author. You may hate or like the discovery, but it emphasises the saying "do not confuse the man with the Artist": even if both get entwined.
Pépites music
Cake d’amour, Peau d’Ane
Quelques mots, Malik Djoudi
Avant qu'il n'y ait le monde, Feu Chatterton
Soul Healing, Deepak Chopra
Fighter, David Nail
We made it, H.E.R.
That book!
My current read is one of the most creative layouts and storytelling comics I have seen in a while. The Art direction and style are an authentic tribute to Lee Miller.
Fashion, womanhood, avant-garde and bravery tie it all. Bravo Eleonora Antonioni!
That pattern @Rijksmuseum
I have been collecting pieces from the Museum Rijksmuseum, inspiring some of my illustrations. The art deco pattern of the hair comb is just mesmerizing; combined with more contemporary colours and patterns, something unique can be created.

💡 It's a Prompt
Light up your creative fire this week
• Chose 1 artist (whatever the field)
• Chose 1 colour
• Chose 1 object
Come up with an interpretation of your 3 elements. It could be visual, audio, written, painted… whatever you feel drawn to.
I will do the same and share it with you next week. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Creativity is in every little curious experimentation.
Feel free to take a pic and share!
Yours creatively,
Keva.
