👋 Hello, dear reader. How are you doing today?
Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.
Earl Nightingale
This week was a progress-in-motion week. I finally finished an article from an interview on the blog under the pile of work for months.
What happened? Well, momemtum ringed at me. I have been editing audio and collaborating with an editor to adapt the interview for the blog. I also have been creating visuals and preparing the audio version of the talk. While doing this at such an intensity, I realised the satisfactory feeling of a project we care about progressing and reaching completion.
How do I see completion?
Even if a project seems late from the outside, it is never too late. Better late than never. It is released at the appointed time. Many things have delayed my blog series on Branding, but slowly but surely, the ideas and wisdom I captured are shared. In the series, one more guest remains. Then I’ll start prepping for a second mini-series!
It’s funny how it resonates differently months later. Funny how the truths of a talk, recorded months before, reveal growth and a sense of purpose.
I have had projects I completed as soon as I started. They were superfluid. Others had to go through a rollercoaster but still made it. Those projects are survivors! I am always amazed by their inner strength. Yes! The projects you create are living things. Once they are released, they live and have their journey.
Being late is not the problem
I have understood the pace in my way of delivering. I decided years ago to be mindful of myself. Turtles go slowly, but they do get to their destination. As creatives, we navigate deadlines, decisions and flow. I know some projects will be tangible later or sooner. When my head, heart and hands are aligned, no force can stop me from completing that project.
You may have so many things you juggle in your creative life. So many things to learn, do, and plan. The best advice I would give to my younger self is to focus, be mindful of your resources and charge towards making that project reality the best you can. If you can do only 50%, no worries the next version of yourself will do the 50% remaining.
No project or idea is ever in vain.

Coup de cœur: The harp of Erin
Follow the hunches. I was looking at a video of Ireland and saw on a field the word Eire. I then discovered the goddess of Ireland Eriu, whose modern name is Erin. I am grateful that hunch led me to the beautiful painting The harp of Erin by Thomas Buchanan Read. He was an American poet and portrait painter and was briefly associated with the pre-Raphaelite brotherhood*. When I read this, I was not surprised. No wonder, I was guided to him. I think PRB* is following me. 😅
With dreamful eyes, my spirit lies under the walls of Paradise.

💡 It's a Prompt
Light up your creative fire this week • 💎 Prompt of the week
• How do you feel when you complete a project?
It is a special feeling to reach a point of progress in a project. You look back and you see the journey. The drive, the delays, the challenges, the solutions and the joy of making. And now it’s tangible!
→ ✏️ Simple, on paper, write a few lines about that result you can now observe
* How do you feel? Are you proud of the result?
* Would you appreciate it more if you didn’t have the obstacles you overcame?
Creativity is in every little curious experimentation.
I hope you enjoyed the read of the week. If yes, share it with peers, friends and family. Sharing is loving.
Yours creatively,
Keva.
