Creative Female Leadership: a story of audacity
Women's day: a celebration and call for female creatives to mindfully embody.
👋 Hello, dear creative. I hope you are doing well.
Happy Women's Day to all my female readers! Today, I want to focus on creative female leadership and its role in the positive change we are vouching for. I believe it is an opportunity to redefine what leadership is and how transformational those choices can become for ourselves and others. These decision-making moments can become the light that a younger creative person may need. We are surrounded by amazing women who have paved the path for us. They teach us to believe and dare. They also give us perspective on a woman's diverse journey.
The freedom our creative field offers is not always accessible to every woman. Such data reminds us of the needed shifts that need to happen. It also empowers us to seize our pens and tell stories to fuel that change, one step at a time.
🏆 Women in the creative field
To illustrate and celebrate this issue, I looked into my work. Immediately, I remembered my most popular illustration: Nefertiti: Empower Everyone. She celebrates and challenges this day. This illustration highlights an iconic female leader, reminding us of the empowerment mission.
Not only do creatives have pens to capture and tell stories, but they also become beacons of growth. I would call each of you to look into new or old pieces and pour out those celebrating women's empowerment. Do you have a history of tackling this needed topic?
As I evolve and witness shifts in the industry, it is obvious that the new generation of female creative leaders is ready to take the world by storm. They have more freedom than my generation (Yes, I am not Gen Z). It is refreshing to observe! Yet, we must remember that, as creatives, we have a responsibility towards what we create and therefore infuse into ‘‘the machine’’ (the market, AI, machine learning, policies, etc.).
We must be aware that our pens can elevate or diminish womanhood, even if it is not intentional. As we lead and tackle causes we believe in, that light on stories and people will empower new creatives for awareness. And more importantly, it will widen the image of what it means to be a female creative.
We are multiple in one, so let's seize the freedom of our field and create change at our scale. You never know who can be ‘‘activated’’ to dare because you chose to create and lead.
This day is not only for women. I encourage my male creative leaders to spread the love. And share support with female creatives in their networks and surroundings. It is a collective work for betterment for 365 days. I believe it is not a gender battle, we do have very different experiences in the creative field as people and as creatives.
🎯 Sending intentional vibes! Enjoy the talks.

📈 She Leads: branding-wise
What is one thing we can do today to empower female leadership?
✨ Elevate voices
On such a day, what more to do other than expand the light to female voices? Those who inspire and remind us of the possibility and gift of being creative, a leader, and a woman. I crafted a collection of my favorite talks for inspiration and motivation. Some are vintage (4 years old), yet they resonate in powerful ways. Feel free to dive into the branding selection on Your Branding Letter. Plus, a podcast selection of conversations on womanhood in our era, the creative fire and time.

Empowering voices from my podcast series Think and speak positive. These are timeless good vibes to fuel the growth.
Show her that she does not need to be liked by everyone.
Tell her that if someone does not like her, there will be someone else who will.
Teach her that she is not merely an object to be liked or disliked,
she is also a subject who can like or dislike.
