Words in 4 images + the treasure box
📸 Sometimes, I just want to answer or speak in pictures, videos and illustrations
👋 Hello, dear creative. How are you doing today?
Today is a visual and audio treat! In this format, I want to share illustrations, pictures, and videos of my current work, inspirations, and exciting discoveries from museums and events. Some of these come from my treasure box, making it a time travel experience to rediscover them. Do you have treasure boxes as a creative?
✦ Did you miss the last post? It was about my Amazon KDP story.
📸 4 images to speak
I will be sharing some of my illustrations, pictures and treasures from the treasure box. They will be sent every month to spark visual play and time travel.
☕ Grab some tea or coffee and let’s go!
4 images to speak
Treasure Box No. 1: The Selected Conference with design icon Phil Cleaver.
Treasure Box No. 2: An excerpt from an exclusive concert by Thomas Azier.
Zig Ziglar is my go-to mentor → I create these GIFs to celebrate thinkers, writers, and others who have made an impact on my journey. While studying one of his trainings, I remembered this image I created a few years ago. It makes me smile!
Seize the wind and an air of somewhere else → Some landscapes, when framed just right, can transport you through time. These trees have a sense of déjà vu for me. I love how straw is used in landscape design to create warmth—so inviting!
Paint becoming picture → I started making simple color paintings on small paper squares, without expecting anything from them or imposing any rules. A new dimension emerged when I photographed them and adjusted the contrast levels.
Type power as I walk → I glanced to the right, and this typeface smiled at me, so I smiled back with a picture. A gorgeous type—it has this nouvelle vague vibe to it…
The treasure box:
I am a collector of images, books, posters, and more. In one of my treasure boxes, I stumbled upon these time-travel souvenirs. Each one left a strong impression on me—one as a designer and creative, and the other as a music aficionado.
Phil Cleaver, the design icon speaks → It was back in 2017, and I had completely forgotten that I recorded his talk. It was one of those moments where, as a young designer, you feel inspired and excited about the possibilities of creation. Phil Cleaver, an award-winning artist, author, and graphic designer, shared his approach and insights as a creative leader.
Frozen in Time → Thomas Azier is one of my favorite artists. A few years ago, I even wrote about one of his songs, What Does It Mean to Be Free? Even though this concert was a while back, his stage presence has grown stronger. It was my first time seeing him live, he is definitely an artist worth seeing up close.
Creativity is in every little curious experimentation.
I hope you enjoyed this visual treat! Feel free to share it with peers, friends, and family, as it helps more people discover this space.
Bon Mercredi (Wednesday)!
